Religion be a Concern of Individual

Religion be a concern of individual.

Dalip Singh Wasan, Advocate.

Time has come when we all should decide that our religion is our individual concern and we have got no right to talk to others on this subject. Religions had been created and established by man on this earth just to find out the methods of talking to God and in fact, originally all the religions were talking of prayers to God and nothing more. And when we consider the case of prayer, we come to the conclusion that prayer is our individual concern and it has got nothing to do with others. When we pray before God, we have got our own problems and we are praying for the solution of those problems and at rare case we are really paying for others. The people we hire to pray for us are not having any interest in our demands, they themselves are under troubles and therefore, they are not praying for the person who has hired them, but they are praying for the solution of their own problems and that is the reason the people who do not pray themselves and hire people are not successful people and their prayers do not reach God.

Religion had been a good concept till it had been an individual’s concern, but when it came out of the individual-bounds, it started playing havoc with the life of the people around them. We have seen that one group relating to one religion had been fighting against the other group of people having another religion and they had been killing each other. If we go deep in history, we find that people had been fighting on the basis of religions and it is on record that the winners had been converting the new subjects to their own religions and the people who were not agreeing were killed or forced to convert. We have seen in history that religious places of one religions had been demolished and the new rulers had been constructing religions places of their own religion and at times all the religious books of one religion had been destroyed. As and when religion came out of individual bounds, it played havoc with the life of those who were not following the religion of others.

Religions gave us instructions for conducting prayer and that is the reason in each region there are different methods of conducting prayers and that is the reason each religion has got its own name and its own religious books. Even religious places and religious books are different and even methods prescribed are different. All the religions have got something common, but even then people of each religion are trying to establish that their religion stands at a better place. God is one, we are sent by God, we all live life as per directions of God and as and when He recalls us, we go back and after our death we are called upon to explain our work and conduct following during life time and then the decision lies with God who may send us to Hell and Heaven. These principles are one and same in all the religious books, but even then people of one religion are trying to establish that their religion is better.

We are sorry to note that religions have come out of the individual bounds and now these are touching our social life too and because of these extra-entries, we are being divided into different religions and at present some of the religions are at fight and they are trying to establish their supremacy. Some are turning terrorists, some are starting committing riots and some are trying to establish their supremacy through wars and use of war-heads and thus a new type of imperialism is coming down on earth. In spite of all efforts, none could establish a common religion and it seems there is no chance to establish a common religion. Here history shall repeat and there are chances the next world war could be on religion based war and people of one religion shall try to finish the people in other religion, because conversion is not possible now.

There is no one who can stop the fundamentalists to think over the matter and should once again take back the religions to the individual concern and all entries in other fields of life should be banned by law. Religion should remain an individual concern and it should not be allowed to go out and all competitions on the basis of religions must stop. We must accept that all religions are good and there is no religion who is better than the other religions.

Why not Religion?

It is a fact that the world today is very religious. One needs only to examine how many religions there are as opposed to the single direction of “Atheism” to see this. Many feel that the tendency towards some sort of faith is proof for the existence of God. Many claim to derive great power from their religious practices. Many believe that their specific belief system is the only truth and that the whole world should be converted to their views. So why not you? There are about as many good arguments against religion as there are for it.

The religious drive was developed in very primitive societies. Human beings could not understand what they saw and experienced. Lightning was a scary mystery and crop growth was subject to scarcity and abundance at apparent random. People needed religion to explain the world to themselves. Religion was their weapon against the fear of life and the fear of death.

Despite the fact that people have meanwhile discovered science to explain the world to themselves, ancient religion survives well, as does the fear. One reason for this could be a type of “sheep” or “follow the leader” mentality. People are unwilling to trouble themselves with too much critical thinking, and therefore accept whatever they learn from their parents. This is the conformist paradigm.

Another reason is, as mentioned above, fear. There are all sorts of fear attached to religion: eternal damnation takes up a significant part of the religious energy. Christians for example believe that all non-Christians are damned to eternal hell. In more immediate terms, some are afraid that that life itself would be meaningless without religion, not to mention what such a lack of belief would mean for death.

This fear is responsible for many a religious atrocity. Religious leaders use it to their own advantage and the disadvantage of many. In ancient societies, human beings may have been simple enough to listen to their leaders without thinking about what they heard. But we live in the information society.

We have the freedom and the right to choose what to believe and what to discard. We are intelligent enough to decide what makes sense and what does not. We have the knowledge to determine who is self-serving and fraudulent and who is genuinely interested in serving the human evolutionary process.

We no longer have to kill or maim to bring our point across, and yet this still happens. We are no longer obliged to believe any specific thing, and yet we still do. Not learning from history seems to be our only consistent trait.

If more people grounded their views in the human rather than the religious viewpoint, perhaps we might have less starvation and murder in the world. We may have fewer power-hungry leaders who kill in the name of God, more who serve life rather than death, and peace rather than fear. A loving heart can change everything.

Answer by peter puffet
lol RELIGION. Preferably the most popular ones. Judaism, Christianity, Muslim.

What do you think? Answer below!

Why is Islam a religion ?

The only thing saving Islam from being branded what it is – a pagan Fascism of unfettered violence – is its status as a religion. But why it that status accorded to an Arabian moon cult based around the Meccan moon deity Ali-ilah and denied for instance in many countries to Scientology, and those who believe that humans came from an alien race ? Islam is no more credible in its theology than the followers of the grinning Bishop Cruise. The only difference is that Muslims have conflated moon worship with Jewish monotheism. An outlandish lie and distortion to be sure, but one fully consumed by useful idiots around the world.

Read the Koran and Arab-Islamic history for yourself. Ignore the media and academics and sundry ‘experts’ who piously proclaim that the family deity of Mohammed constitutes a religion in the Christian-Judeo sense of that word. It doesn’t. Islam was once regarded as Mohammedanism or the cult of Mohammed. This is a far more intelligent analysis of what we really face, than the usual mindless one-world, multi-cultural bromides that an Arabian moon cult is just as ‘relatively good and religious’ as anything the ‘criminal’ history of Western civilization could possibly produce.

Imagine if you are still a thinking, mentally balanced and unipolar personality who has not been brain washed by the media and educational system.. You are a blank slate, able to rationalize and in control of your functions. You are sitting by yourself when suddenly an excitable Arab comes up to you and says the following:

-You must obey Ali-ilah, the Meccan male moon god, which was protected by the family of someone called Mohammed, who 1400 years ago created this thing called Islam around the worship of this moon deity.

-He tells you with wide eyes that this moon god knows all, determines all and will either kill you or elevate you to heaven – depending on his mood and whether he believes [or it believes] that you have been sufficiently Muslim.

-He declaims with a gaping mouth that you must read and memorize the book around this cult called the Koran and prostrate yourself 5 times daily towards Mohammed’s family home and beg the moon deity for forgiveness. You must chatter these ritualised lines of prostration in Arabic – a language you don’t understand.

-You are informed by this animated Arab that in order to humiliate yourself you must raise your buttocks into the air and force your forehead onto the ground.  You need to recognize that the moon deity controls all and that you are worthless – or so this man says.

-He pulls out the cult’s book and shows you some of its content.  From what you can read the pages seem  full of hate, violence, racism, supremacism and claims to universal rule and will to power. The thoroughly energized Arab man wags his finger in your face and solemnly intones that the book is holy, created by the moon god, and not to be touched by non-believers.

-He sits beside you and puts his hand on your knee soothing your concerns by imparting that this Arab cult – supported worldwide by 1.6 billion people – also demands that you travel at least once to Mecca, pay a lot of money to the cult’s institutions, kiss their main black rock, throw stones at imaginary little devils and run around their shrine.  All part of the community spirit he smilingly assures you.

-And he gives you the best part as he leans towards you barely able to contain himself.  Not only can you have a lot of women and at least 4 wives; but your women will have to obey you; wear bed sheets in public; enjoy being beaten [lightly] by you for any offense; and if you so desire having sex with 9 year olds is okay as well since this Mohammed the Prophet did it.  Also he slyly adds – young females being sold into sex slavery or killed for dissing their parents is also acceptable.

You probably would think the Arab man insane.  This is a religion ?  Of what exactly ?  You would be even more perplexed if a state paid employee was accompanying the twitching Arab proselytizer and informed you that not only is the Meccan moon cult a ‘religion’ but it is a vibrant part of the ‘multicultural mosaic’ of your country, and indispensable as part of society’s diversity objective. He warns you sternly never to criticize the Meccan moon cult and if you do, you might end up in prison.

Being intelligent you might stutter out some questions such as; ‘why is this cult a religion?’; ‘who granted it such referential status ?”; ‘is it religious in practice or violent, insane and irrational?’; ‘shouldn’t reality and what happens in the real world, determine whether or not we declare an ideology to be religious?’; ‘since when is racism, supremacism and misogyny enlightened and spiritual ?’….

All good questions of course but in the end they mean nothing. In the era when Mohammedanism was viewed as a program which was the opposite of Christ’s teachings, such informed observation was common place. In today’s world where people get their information from Oprah, the BC news networks, and self-loathing educational and media sources, a program of Jihadist Fascism, in train for 1400 years, is declared a religion.

Islam has none of the properties of a religion which is why of course it is declared to be one, and which is why the state is so violent in protecting it.

Some say that Islam is not a religion. But Craigsread explains in plain and simple terms Why is Islam a religion and why so many people are drawn to it.

The Wounding Glory: The Historical Analysis Of The State, Society, Religion, Active Forces, Scientific Developments, And The People In The World

world religion
by rowanf

In a comparison of Indian civilization prior and during the rig Vedic period, with the civilizations of Egypt, Sumerian, Akkadian, Mesopotamian and Urr, the origin and complete form of the “state” in India there was no strong form of the state at the time. The complete form and shape of the state it was not yet taken while the Greeks king Dario us, and Alexander who took expedition of winning the territories of India under any Indian kings materially except in the form of Indian mythology which claims that the state was in origin and has taken its expansion from India to all parts of the world particularly in the gulf areas too, by keeping in mind the Vikramaditya the great king of that time  whose period also stated to be corrupted with a contention to keep him above all the kings and their dynasties in the world. “God the invisible King” as the presumption has the relation with the kingship and the god whose role and act to save the people as a protector, savior and benevolent towards the poor in the world could be the factor behind the origin of the state in all the civilizations in materialistic way and in India the first god who has been well known in the Rig-Veda which is the first source of the history in India and its location of rig Vedic civilization is identified with the river Saraswati which was dried up. In rig Vedic kings list there were so many kings and whose actual physical proof not yet established in the sense and true meaning of material facts other than spiritual or mythological beliefs in India. Archaeological evidences in absence of which all these would never be treated as the kings in the history of the kings. However if it is established that all the kings were existed on the banks of five rivers by any authority either through the department of archaeology or by any credible research work it will become the believable facts and the facts in the space of mythology as the history of India with the list of kings. Hence the history of India in relation to the origin, evolution and  taking complete shape of powerful state, foreign kings were took opportunity to rule the country for so many years and left their foot prints on the soils of India and it has its influence and affect on the common ideology of the people and has been played a part in molding the nature of the people of India since the period came to know to the history of the things and existence of the kings with the relation of the spirituality and mythology to the present form of the state in India. As Hegel claimed that the Egyptian and Indian gods has nearest relation in natural gods and the people of these two countries. After Dario us and Alexander the great, the first in terms of power and strength of its military might, the Chandragupta Mourya, basing on the capital city, Patna he has taken complete form of the state in India, before whom no one was come into being like him in India and much less in his power in small groups like a war lords were there in the tribal belts of the country and could not raise to his level in the might. The period of Rig Vedic civilization is stated to be existed around 1000-1500 BC. There is no unanimous opinion of the exact date of Vedic civilization in India. The period of Chandragupta Mourya is claimed to be 321-297 BC. As the first historical book, bible, in its Old Testament genesis, the king as claimed as the first king in the world is Enlil from Sumerian civilization which was around 3rd millennium. The Sumarian records also confirmed the kings list in which Enlil was the first king in the kings list. The names of the first kings and their kingships in comparison with the bible and Rig-Veda in the both mythological and archaeological accounts, whatever the evidences of the Rig-Veda and bible confirmed and convinced with the available findings it is here the facts in identifying the origin and transformation of the state to notify the developments and factors behind the state in different regions in the world. Language in which the bible is written first is Hebrew and the Rig-Veda is written in Sanskrit. It is the fact that the bible is the first book known for the subjects of origin of state, religion, and other issues in the history and it has been proving in so many subjects through the archaeological evidences since last two hundred years. Hence it is fact that the origin and its leading factors behind the origin of the state are very different from each other particularly in India from its early periods of the origin of the state in the Sumarian now modern Iraq, civilization. At the same time the form, need, leading factors, and the materialistic support behind the powerful state in iraq and in India is very different and do not have any direct link and same factors in all such origins of each state in all ancient civilizations in the world. At the same time, when the need and factors in leading the people to feel the need of the state and the social conditions of these societies are different and there is no unanimity in the features of all states in its early periods of its transformation from the nominal force to the powerful force in the shape of state particularly in India in comparison with other states’ origin and transformation. There is the gap of at least 1000 years to 1500 years between the periods of states origin in these two civilizations in the world we can till now beleive because there are no such archaeological supports in reversing or altering the periods on the timeline of the world civilizations. For those in India whose mother tongue is other than Sanskrit language, the British who translated the four Vedas, including Rig-Veda, from to English are max Muller, and Griffith and they would be grateful to them for all time.

In the Indian history the most striking and positive feature is that the state has not been worked under any influence of the religion, particularly Hinduism, at the same time the Buddhism also did not allow the religion in the states affairs from the formation of the religion and the as identified in the Vedas, Upanishads and other historical books including Ramayana and Mahabharata. The Europeans, Romans and British who were during the middle ages allowed the church to dominate the state and decide the state affairs through the church in the society. The church-state relations were in the legalized form under the domination of the church over the state and its affairs whereas the temple in India to which few acres lands were allotted to run the affairs of the state in the mostly recognized form independence from each other. The Brahmans were only allowed in the occasions of the royal ceremonies and allowed them only to confine themselves in the service of the temple and people with some little gifts offered by the people on the name of god here in India. So the history and origin of the state in India is very different one from the other civilizations from which the state and religion took birth. So the history of India and the other states history is not same one and Indian history have a special attention to dig out and apply it to the present conditions of Indian society in order to find the exact phase of passage of society towards further advancement through identifying the pace and its pulse to confirm what stage we all Indians have to move towards progress and development including understanding the exact conditions of moving the other developed states to where exactly these have to reach through the progress and development in true sense and understanding of the stages of capitalism in the world.                                                                        Ayub Mohammed

Now, I like to share with your opinions on the subjects, touching directly and indirectly to the society that influences the ideas and thoughts on each and every issue in the society, as well. Because, the whole global system is asking the humans to work like the machine, moving for them only as slaves, without ideas and dreams in the society. If the poor, even wanted to be a slave to his master, the master is not ready to accept him as a slave. The global masters wants the entire mankind must work like a bull without essentials for their survival, but the human nature continues to separate from the animal trait, through its thinking nature. The conflict stands irresolvable, till the point of reaching of masters and poor on certain understanding, by feeling each other as equal humans in the globe.

Would E.T. Be The End of Organized Religion?

Would E.T. Be The End of Organized Religion?

One of the most ridiculous statements I have heard from the Atheists camp is that “If an extraterrestrial landed on earth, it would mean the end of religion”. I believe the statement results more from wishful thinking than real “logic”.

Why would the existence of extraterrestrials pose a threat to Christianity, God, or religion in general? Does the Bible say anywhere that a scenario like that is not possible. In fact in John 10:16 Jesus said, “Other sheep I have which are not of this fold”.

Is it logical that God, who created the earth as a paradise for mankind, could not, or would not, possibly do the same somewhere else in the vast universe. I like what the leading character in the movie “Contact” said when asked if there could be other planets with life on them. She said “If there isn’t, it would be a tremendous waste of space”.

I admit that it is possible that the earth is the only world suitable for life and that we are alone in the universe, but I don’t say it is impossible for other life to exist somewhere else. In fact I would like to think that there is other life that is searching for the truth just as we are. Would that shatter my faith in God? Why should it? If I start with the premise that God created the universe, to say that there are other life forms than man, is not to say that God ceases to exist.

Why would that be a threat to religion? It would seem to me that it would open a whole new dimension in the meaning of “religion” and “faith” to think that there is so much more to the creation than we imagined.

Support for this view is evident in the history books.

In the 15th century explorers thought that they had charted all the known world, before Columbus made his famous voyage. It was a shock to society and the church to find out that there was “another world” that existed across the waters and it had millions of inhabitants who did not know about Jesus or the God of the Hebrews. If the atheists argument that ET would destroy religion, then the church should have collapsed then and there. It is hard, but necessary, to understand, that the discovery of a “new world”, to the European society and church at that time in history, was every bit as dramatic and traumatic as the landing of a UFO with aliens would be to us today. It is of no small significance that they spoke of the “New World” for centuries after that.

After the shock wore off, the church adjusted and considered the new order to be an opportunity for expansion. Though the methods of expansion left much to be desired and at times were not morally supportable, they didn’t fold and say that everything they knew before was wrong. Because Jesus had predicted that the Word would be preached to all around the world, the church realized that the new discoveries were simply an extension of His mandate to “Go ye therefore and teach all nations.”

If we discovered that there were other worlds “out there” with intelligent inhabitants, would the mandate be any different? Isaiah 9:7 says, “Of the increase of His government…there shall be no end”.

We still don’t know for sure if there is an ET or not, but whether ET exists or not, God will still be there looking over mankind as He has always done since He created Adam.

Teaching Hatha Yoga: Religion and Western Culture

When you teach Hatha Yoga, you are asked many questions. Although public awareness of Yoga, and its teachings, has increased, many people are just discovering some of the benefits within the many styles of Yoga. Therefore, you have to be prepared for the unexpected questions that arise about the mysteries of Yoga.

Once in a while, the question of religion does come up. Many times, Yoga teachers are asked if they are a Hindu, Sikh, or Buddhist. To the public’s amazement, many Yoga teachers come from all of the major religions in the world. There is no single religion that all Yoga teachers participate in.

How can this be? Some Gurus preach that Yoga should be founded within a particular religion. Some Yoga teachers read the Rig Veda, Bhagavad Gita, and speak Sanskrit words, so they must be covertly teaching Hinduism, or some other religion, right? Wrong – some Yoga teachers do teach religion in their classes, and some do not.

If your Yoga teacher has the Vedas, Torah, New Testament, Holy Quran, and the Gnostic Gospels, in his or her library, what does that mean? It means that your Yoga teacher likes to read, study, and does not have a closed mind. That is all it means, unless your Yoga teacher preaches religion as part of his or her practice.

If a Yoga teacher does preach religion within Yoga classes, this should be easy enough to see and hear. In Yoga studios that reside in the Americas and Europe, this may not be what most Hatha Yoga students are seeking. Each student has the right to leave, but the public should be made aware that a Yoga studio is conducting religious classes.

Many of these potential Yoga students are not seeking religious conversion, religious instruction, and live in a culture with a strict separation of religion from government. This means that religion in the West is often compartmentalized.

For example: If a concerned doctor recommends Yoga to a patient with back problems – the patient is not being referred to a Yoga studio for religious instruction.

Therefore, if you teach a form of religious Yoga in the West, be honest about it. Most students, from western cultures, are in Hatha Yoga classes for the physical and mental aspects.

If you want to teach Yoga as spiritual health, get the proper training first, and give the public “fair warning.” Teaching good virtues is one thing, but teaching religion to your Yoga students is quite another. This is the “line in the sand” that some Yoga teachers should never forget.

The answers to spiritual enlightenment are within all religions, but it is up to Yoga students to pursue their own religion and find the answers to their spiritual health. There is no single “man made path” to spiritual health, enlightenment, or union. This is a myth that, as a species, we never seem to learn.

Throughout our history, Holy wars are always justified by both sides. Of course, the other side is always less human, less understanding, evil, and ignorant of the true path. “The world would be a better pace without the unbelievers;” is always a good battle cry.

Religion is too volatile a subject to discuss within a multi-cultural Hatha Yoga class. Therefore, if you are going to mix any religion with Yoga practice, it should be taught within a sectarian atmosphere.
