You can have unwanted pregnancies, diseases, etc. in marriage as well. What about rape? Does god look down on people who have been raped? I feel like if you are going to abstain, fine - if you aren't, that's fine too. If I had waited until marriage to have sex,my oldest son wouldn't be here. I wouldn't trade him or my three younger children for anything.
