That’s pretty enthusiastic. I don’t care what people build as long as it meets local building and zoning codes.

Have you heard of Tibet or the recent cult where girls as young as 12 or pregnant? Any kind of worship of a nonGOD is they mostly highly sin and therefore should not have a temple of them. The CWN should know better than that if that’s where you heard it from. Otherwise shame on you!

  13. ndmagicman says:

LOL……I would refer people to pictures of the GW Bush acceptance speech of 2004. His background was complete with Roman columns. Must have been a very slow newsday for the Christian World News.

  14. Franky N says:

I like that type of architecture but if that is what your vote is based on, you really shouldn’t vote at all.

  15. RedQueen says:

I don’t suppose his stage decorations had anything to do with the fact that he gave his speech on the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I have a Dream” speech, would it? Lincoln Memorial, all that stuff.

EDIT: Peggy Noonan was on the Today show this morning, and she stated that the stage was meant to represent the Lincoln Memorial.

  16. Mj says:

    Go Obama 2008!

    CWN..is a load of BS!
    watch CNN instead!

  17. jasmine says:

Its following suit with other things that are happening with him. Its disturbing.

  18. ?Ele? says:

sounds fake and disturbing if thats true. why do we have to worship him are we so simple minded that we have to follow whoever is said to be the leader. whats makes them such a great leader?
my definition a leader is someone that holds the voices of masses and gets what we want and need done. We don’t need to worship him to be our leader.

  19. laura shambles ?? says:

    At least Obama exists.

  20. myuutsu says:

Uh, NO. That’s stupid, racist, and biased. If you seriously trust CWN for reliable information, then that says a lot about your character.

For the infinityeth time, OBAMA IS NOT THE ANTICHRIST. HE DOES NOT MATCH THE PROPHECIES IN THE BIBLE.

  21. voicespirit says:

This is stupid. They were referring to the Greek-like columns on the stage during the last night of the convention. It was in a huge frickin’ stadium, they had to be big. No one is worshiping Obama.

    Look up this word: DISCERNMENT.

Some of you christians are funny, in a dangerously crazy sort of way.

  22. Cauc says:

    i think its not true
but worshiping a human being , is B.S

  23. ESweetPea says:

Theatre started in Greece. Therefore, stages are based on Greek theatrical productions. Sorry if you didn’t realize it, but theatre is PAGAN. It started a really long time ago in a Pagan society, so any theatre is based on an old Pagan tradition.

But it’s more an issue of style, giving people something to look at.

Why not go with a classic? Theatre is Pagan. BFD. I thought the stage looked pretty good, and I liked the blue carpet. Kind of an Aegean Sea theme–blue water, white columns, big sky overhead.

It was nice. There’s nothing wrong with something aesthetically appealing. Would you rather they held the convention in a condemned warehouse? In a parking lot? What should they have put it in?

I don’t get why it’s fine for antebellum plantations to have Greek columns and DC is full of columns, but they put some up at a political convention (for the “wrong” party, I guess) and now it’s a pagan devil-worshipping extravaganza? Hypocrisy much? They’re columns! A decorative element for an event that was not only well-attended, but also televised.

I guess it’s a big ol’ sin to make a stage look nice. I’ll be sure to remember that.

  24. Eiliat says:

I think it’s a complete crock and never will happen, nor is it planned to happen. Lying for Jesus is still lying.

  25. plushy_bear JPA says:

Please tell me you didn’t believe that cr@p….

  26. romer151 says:

Already done…look at the background set they used at the democratic convention.
