No Synagogues, Please
It was almost sunset on a Friday in late October. This was a Jewish event, but there was nothing remotely Jewish about it, except the religion of the participants. The handful of families, with children ranging in age from 14 months to 5 years, came to the free class at the invitation of a parent hired by Boston’s Jewish Family Network to connect more families to the Jewish community. Crossmap.com Launches Christian RSS Aggregator Service

(PRWEB) June 24, 2005

Crossmap.com announced today the launch of its new RSS aggregation service for Christians (http://rss.crossmap.com). The service takes advantage of RSS feeds, which are provided by a multitude of media outlets, allowing Crossmap to easily syndicate their content.

The new service updates news feeds from a variety of sources, but focuses on information pertinent to Christians. Feeds are organized into one of four categories: “Christian News,” “Blogs,” “News,” and “Content.” The Christian Post, Christianity Today, Agape Press, Breathecast, and Christian Today are some of the feeds that are featured on Crossmap RSS as of launch.

According to Rick Li, the CTO of Crossmap.com, “The Crossmap RSS section has been built from the ground up in order to take full advantage of the RSS protocol. Many RSS aggregators have been built in the past, but we believe that ours is the first Christian aggregator that downloads feeds at a regular basis, organizing it in a way that all Christians can use and appreciate.”

There are several features in the new section that will appeal to dedicated Christian news readers. A comments area, available for each story, allows feedback to be left by readers. In addition, a powerful search is available that allows readers to find stories that have been published on Crossmap RSS in the past.

At launch, Crossmap RSS updates from over 15 sources and updates every 15 minutes throughout the day. Every update typically generates from 5-25 stories that are added to our archive.

We hope that Crossmap RSS will be a service that is useful for Christians who want to keep up to date with all the latest happenings, both within the Christian world and without.

About Christian Leadership Academy

Troy, Michigan-based Christian Leadership Academy is a K-12th grade, interdenominational, classical-curriculum school founded in 1994. Our Classical Christian education model is the only one of its kind in Southeastern Michigan. This unique three-stage educational process focuses on core curriculum studies with emphasis on Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric in age appropriate blocks and is rooted in fundamental Christian beliefs.

An acclaimed roster of faculty members are leaders in their respective disciplines, and are dedicated to the education, care and nurturing of each student. Christian Leadership Academy is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International and the Association of Classical and Christian Schools.
