Shop.StrongerTeam.com – Here is a condensed version of the exercises I take the Montrose Christian basketball team through BEFORE we hit the floor for our court warm-up. We do a version of this before every game to get mentally and physically prepared to compete at a high level! Special thanks to SK for the track “Game Time”… it is the unofficial Stronger Team theme song! For more on SK please visit www.MySpace.com/BarShookCheck DC hip hop artist Papa Zooks is in the process of producing a few tracks for the this YouTube Channel too!
I was feeling nostalgic the other day and Joni Mitchell’s “The Circle Game” came to my mind. So I decided to take a little departure from making Christian music videos and make this one. This song brings back lots of memories; I was 18 when it was released, halfway between verses three and four. One of the best “stages of life” songs ever written. Thank you Joni! (BTW, that’s my own son in the first slide, “wondering”!)

@tfspence indeed, Circle Game was a rebuttal to Neil’s son “Sugar Mountain”
now I drag my feet to slow the circle down
beautiful song
very beautiful song and picture.my son is 20y,this year.
Such a beautiful telling of what we all face. Beautifully phrased, played, performed. I love Joni so much. It always seemed that she was writing about exactly the thing I was going through.
@legalbeagle26 im sure she will love it…. this is a song for understanding life
@legalbeagle26
That is beautiful. I would love to hear how it turned out.
@superfly299 That’s a great point about “Wonder Years”. One of my top three favorite TV shows along with “Touched By An Angel” and “Barney Miller”. My favorite episode was #43 (“Goodbye”), the one with Kevin’s math teacher Mr. Collins. Mr. Collins ending up passing away at the end of the episode, and they played Linda Ronstadt singing “Goodbye My Friend”. Wish they had left out the line where Collins says “I’m not your friend, I’m your teacher.” Sort of makes the song make no sense.
I usually don’t like it when people talk about tv shows when discussing music but I just can’t help but think about The Wonder Years every time I here this. That show always knew exactly what song to use in every situation.
i like this song lol the first time i heard it i was in english and my semi crazy teacher was makeing us sing the course lol but it was funn haha lol i love the message it has lol
@coolram52 because “you can’t be 20 on Sugar Mountain, though you’re thinking that you’re leaving there too soon, leaving there too soon”.
@coolram52 because “you can’t be 20 on Sugar Mountain, though you’re thinking that you’re leaving there too soon, leaving there too soon”.
@coolram52 yeah, you’re right, Buffy’s was the Version used for the film The Strawberry Statement; the Drums were terrible there!!!
@legalbeagle26 that is so nice. my sister used to sing this to me when I was a child too.
Such a beautiful song.. Reminds me of my mom because this is one of her favorite songs.
My mom used to tuck me into bed with this song every night when she played this on her guitar. I’m getting married in October and for the son and mom dance we will dance to this. She has no idea but I remember it, she always says that I forget things that are important, I am ADD and I do forget things alot but I do remember the important things. I know this will touch her heart so!
I improvised this song with two friends at a music session only a week or two ago. It was wonderful … she knew the text, he knew the chords, and I voiced a sort of bell ringing backing her up. I didn’t know the song before, but it fits beautifully into a spirit of making music with friends.
I’ve loved this song ever since I was a kid, and i’m only 34. So i’m fairly young. We used to sing this at a summer camp I used to go to.
@awsomepurple18 Well, yeah, she stopped when the boy was 20 because it was a song written for Neil Young when he turned 20. And she didn’t have a crystal ball.
Nice job putting the music with lyrics to the photos.
Had not heard this for years until I caught it on the radio in the wee small hours a couple of days ago. I was a few years older than you when it was released. Golden years they were. Thank you for the wonderful, beautiful accompanying video which brought tears to my eyes.
