The Internet: Where religions come to die

The Internet: Where religions come to die -Kinda speaks for itself. Clips taken from Godzilla of course 🙂 ‘the end of the world cult’ Fascinating documentary about some guy who claimed to be jesus (one of many) and predicted the end of the world a couple of times. The interesting conclusion (other than the world not ending of course) was that he was arrested for his sexual abuse of minors. Seeing the ‘son of god’ go from righteous ‘they are persecuting me like they did with jesus’ to a man institutionalized in prison, on hunger strike is a fascinating insight into the human mind and the messiah complex. www.youtube.com I would also recommend reading the wiki article on him…. it’s captivating stuff! en.wikipedia.org Jesus camp of course (I’ll leave you to find that!) and Mr Deity (who does some wonderfully funny satire on Christianity). www.youtube.com Turns out he’s an ex mormon (damn the typo is so tempting), and has a v. interesting story to tell. www.youtube.com RDF.net Clip from Richard Dawkins vs the Muslim from ‘The Big Debate’ www.youtube.com Clip also taken from the simpsons satire of cults ‘The Joy of Sect’. Clip of Bill Maher also taken from religulous.

It’s the final phase before imploding into a black hole, so religions should enjoy their last years of stardom.
The fundies all over the globe might sound loud now but it’s because they’re so? nervous they’re yelling.
The more they talk the clearer it will be they’re dishonest, ignorant, power hungry, greedy and obsolete control freaks.
The less they talk the more forgotten they will be.
Science grows from its progress and get stronger by every error detected.

    It’s just a matter of time … ; )

If You’re at the evolutionary soul level of an “atheist” that’s fine. At least endeavor to discover the ways to become happy in this life, and fulfill all Your material desires to the fullest. After many incarnations all paths eventually lead to higher cosmic understanding.
Sadly, all atheists that I know are either angry, depressed, aggressive towards others. I have yet to meet an atheist devoted to serving others for the sake of love, compassion and altruism. They are the vast minority.

  5. NassimHarameinVedas says:

Continued: My approach has been not rejecting as atheists do, but accepting knowledge from all sources and points of view and then after personal mediation, experience and contemplation do I arrive at my own conclusions.
Now how does Your atheistic point of view explain or perceive people like me?
    We’re what? Deluded, crazy, irrational?
The most educated people on this evolutionary sphere are self taught and believe in the rights of the individual above all else, yet still I believe in God.

  6. NassimHarameinVedas says:

Continued: And now I arrive at my current plateau of knowledge that is continuously growing both spiritually and in the mundane science of the materialists aka animal sense observers.
There are more senses to the human body than the mere gross material senses.
My beliefs were not indoctrinated into me by my community, parents, education nor by any other individual of note.
I’ve always been wary of believing things just its the popular thing to do and endeavor to learn on my own.

  7. NassimHarameinVedas says:

Continued: Vedas, Qabbalah etc. Not to mention I’ve always been very interested in scientific topics like astronomy, astro-physics, and the latest theories (string, quantum, grand unified field theory etc.). Also after studying many ancient lost civilizations, cutlures aka anthropology I’ve come to my own conclusion and religious opinions.
Not to mention after endeavoring to evolve spiritually, I’ve had altered states of consciousness, OBE (astral projections) as well as lucid dreaming.

  8. NassimHarameinVedas says:

This is a false argument. Stating that in order for somebody to become part of a religion that person must either be born in that faith or somehow be “coerced” into believing it is a false premise for undermining religious truths.
Personally, I was not raised to be religious in any faith. My parents were neither secular nor religious scholars.
As a child I’ve always had a strong faith in God. After 9/11 I started studying Islam and many other religions going back to antiquity, Vedas etc.

    @CrownRadio
They’re mentioned here. You have to pause the video to write down the verses mentioned:

  11. CrownRadio says:

    @GreatExterminator
Could you give me the citation of the verses for spousal abuse, child abuse, slavery, animal cruelty, and discrimination the factors besides homosexuality? (I’m not trying to be an ass, I would really just like to examine them) As for animal cruelty, the Bible says that cattle and goats should be cut by the jugular vein before they are cooked. (That way the animal dies painlessly) Should an animal suffer when they kill it, they are forbidden to eat it. Sounds like a good plan

  12. GreatExterminator says:

@CrownRadio “Besides the “Deity” issue, why is the bible such a hellish book?”

Because in addition to lessons that we could make ourselves anyway, it also shows god as either encouraging or condoning slavery, spousal abuse, child abuse, animal cruelity, and descrimination based on various factors including sexual orientation.
The only way to use the bible as moral guide is to keep some parts and throw out the parts that you don’t like.

  13. CrownRadio says:

The bible consists of many fables, very few priests will tell you that everything in the bible is word for word true. Because, God forbid we think about the life lessons that the bible teaches. Believe in God or not, if people would just shut the hell up and actually try to understand parts of the bible, then hell, you don’t even have to believe in God. Besides the “Deity” issue, why is the bible such a hellish book? It contains a lot of life lessons that are “way before their time”.

  14. CannibalKittens says:

Just a shame about all the children around the world being subject to this brainwashing bullshit. High five internet!

  15. 1Trojian says:

@GreatExterminator can we be different computer files? Jpeg files for like pictures vs office documents? Won’t be long till we can recover files from trash right?

  16. GreatExterminator says:

@brandisify “There is only saved ….and unsaved.”

    So we’re all computer files?

  17. imasillypiggy says:

@brandisify or religion made things stupidly simple for its followers

  18. brandisify says:

This is really besides the point.
    Religion doesnt matter!
You either have a personal relationship with God or you dont.
To do this , you must be born again through Christ.
It is simple …..There is only saved ….and unsaved.

Mankind has really made things complicated.

First rate, this is your best vid so far IMO. Thanks.

  20. flapjackboy says:

@Talamasca124 So, is your trailer park wanting their scholar back then?

  21. flapjackboy says:

@Talamasca124 No, you said “An Agnostic ‘knows’ there is no God(s).” This is false. Gnostic = has knowledge = knows for certain. Agnostic = does not have knowledge = does not know for certain.

Gnosic theist = knows for certain God exists, despite evidence to the contrary.
Agnostic atheist = does not know for certain, but cannot believe without compelling evidence.

  22. Talamasca124 says:

@flapjackboy Is that not what I said bright boy? Hey, I guess every trailer park needs a scholar.

  23. flapjackboy says:

@Talamasca124 Um, wrong. Atheism is the rejection of the positive claim that gods exist. No ‘belief’ required to reject a claim. Gnosticism is all about knowledge. If I’m agnostic, I’m saying “I don’t know”. If I’m gnostic however, I’m saying “I definitely know”.

I cannot say for certain that gods exist, but given the evidence that I can see, I cannot logically believe that they do, therefore I am an agnostic atheist.

  24. Talamasca124 says:

@flapjackboy Perhaps your argument(s) might serve you better if you understood the difference between an atheist and an agnostic. An atheist ‘believes’ there is no God(s). An Agnostic ‘knows’ there is no God(s). A/theism is based on belief. A/gnosticism is based on knowledge. Knowledge and belief are not the same.
