Question by God’s Canvas: Is Christianity just another world religion?
Can it be classified as a religion? or how do you classify it?

Where’s the power in the life of the believer? Do other world “religions” have the same power?

What draws you to Christ?

It is a religion known world-wide… so… yes?

All religions are cults that have gotten much larger than where they started.

All world religions believe they are the right religion and their god is the correct one.

    Nothing draws me to Christ.
    Religions are ridiculous.

  2. AH-64 Longbow says:

Yes its just another unimportant religion.

That image of a man huddled down is rather pathetic.

  3. No78 says:

    Pretty much.

    Yes.

The power? I don’t know what you mean.

Nothing draws me to Christ, sorry.

It’s just one of those things….ya know?

Muslims, jews, Christan’s, buddhist…. every religion is the same.

what ever, everyone is wasting their time.
only one of them CAN be right,
and possibly they can all be WRONG…
who has the right mind to chose one?
    Not me….

I classify every religion in mythology,
    give me facts,
    prove me which is worthy…

    ya know what I mean?

  7. INFOMAN says:

Yes it is, and if you look at it closely, it’s a mixture of ” Ancient Pagan Customs Thrown In, ” e.g, Easter Sun-Rise, Christmas, New Years, etc. That’s what makes it more appealing to the masses of it’s followers.

I classify it as a Religion. The R is capitalized to show the Big Ego christians have.

To my mind, it is not spiritual either. Its anything but.

You were thinking it was a relationship werent you? I dont think that way about christianity.

  9. Trashe says:

Its just a Religion like any other.
But more popular like our Pop Music.
Maybe people found a Rock Star in Jesus (no offence)

By the way – someone spoke about the Power of Jesus here. One question to them though:
‘Can that Power help the poor and helpless children in Africa and around the world from suffering from poverty and diseases’?

  10. Mariana F says:

No, because no other religion in the world has a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ; who is the only way to the Father ( John 14:6 ). Also, Christianity is the only group of people who are born again, and believe in the finished work Jesus did on the cross; while all other religions believe man can get to heaven through self effort without Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Other world religions have no power with God, and no authority from God, because only through Jesus as our Lord and Savior do Christians have any authority or power in this earth, and only Christians pray in the name of Jesus to get answers from God. There is no other way to fellowship with God. The love and goodness of God draws me to Christ, and Romans 10:9-10 is how to be born again.

  12. pappyg says:

Christianity is the only world religion that is approved by God. Not the version we have today all over the world But the New Testament version.

1Co 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

  13. Christian M says:

All true religions lead to God and all false religions lead to the world/emotion/reason/thought/appearance. When we look in the wrong direction we see only what is apparent and not what is substantial. The unseen has substance not what can be measured, seen, analyzed and known through the senses. True religion, whichever path it takes, recognized that it is the unseen, conscious awareness of Good, Peace, Love, Joy, Power and Abundance from which all things manifest.

The power in the life of a believer comes from Source, from the unseen that lies behind all manifestation.

Science has discovered that only about three per cent of the mass of the Universe makes up what can be seen and known and measured by the senses. The other ninety seven per cent they are calling Dark Matter. It is the substance upon which the little three per cent rests. The three per cent is the least of Creations mass but to us as worldly people it appears to be the most solid and substantial. True religions are those that see it correctly and point out the path to reunite with what is Substantial, God/Spirit/Truth/Love and all the other manifestations of the Real.

I believe because I have a relationship with Jesus. I grew up in church but never understood it and then left the church when I was in high school. I lived a life of drugs, sex, alcohol, do what I want kind of life. Two years ago God brought me to a job with 3 christians and a friend out of work who took me to church with her a few times. I finally got it one night and realized that I never was saved or knew what it was to be a christian. I ask God to forgive me one night and help me give my life to him. I quit smoking cigs. that night Oct. 15 2008 and got saved. God was changing my life but I was still smoking pot. I didn’t see anything wrong with it at the time. So one night I prayed for God to show me why it was wrong and he did, I was idolizing it. During this time he also showed me it was wrong by 3 times my smoking pipes breaking which was crazy. If I hadn’t stopped I’d be in jail because not long after that someone narced on my roommate and me so the police came by looking for it but all they got was his bong. Since then I’ve tried to obey him in all I do, it’s hard and I still mess up when I let my flesh win over the Spirit but I’m filled with joy that God is with me.

Christianity is classified as a religion. It can be a religion. And it has become a religion.
In the beginning it was the life of Jesus Christ. Then it became the church life. Then it became form of worship. As there were children and women and illiterate people and new comers there was a written form of worship. Then gradually it became an establishment. and life disappeared from it.
    It became another religion.
In the beginning people used to seek the holy spirit baptism and there were power. They used to leave everything and loved the church and loved the Lord. Now they say that the Lord love them and give them all things abundantly.

  16. nathan says:

Christianity in its true sense is not a religion, it is a relationship.

  17. Micky GG says:

Why is Jesus the only way to get to God?

People are constantly asking, ‘What’s so special about Jesus? Why is He the only way that someone can know God?’
Along with the problem of those who have never heard about Jesus, there is no question asked more often than this one. We are accused of being narrow-minded because we assert there is no other way to get to God.
The first point to make is that we did not invent the claim of Jesus, being the only way. This is not our claim; it is His. We are merely relating His claim, and the claim of the writers of the New Testament.
Jesus said, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me’ (John 14:6, NASB) and ‘For unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins’ (John 8:24, NASB). The Apostle Peter echoed these words, ‘Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved’ (Acts 4:12, KJV).
St. Paul concurred, ‘There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus . . .’ (1 Timothy 2:5, KJV). It is therefore the united testimony of the
New Testament that no one can know God the Father except through the person of Jesus Christ.

the non Christian really has no logical alternative but to accept that Jesus is God:

“I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God.” That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic-on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg-or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God; or else a madman or something worse.

You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon; or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God. “

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,
    Col 2:9 (NIV)
