    Prophets I wish to make one thing clear. God told us in (I Cor 7: 20) to remain in whatever status we are when we are called bc the coming days are evil, you don’t want to tag along any burden & distraction. Secondly, Our Lord clearly spoke of a group of people whom Satan have made unpopular in today’s preaching, see them in Matt 19: 11-12. The Lord said, Not all are able to receive this Saying “Whoever is able to receive it should take it.” See the First Fruits in Rev 14: 4, They are VIRGINS.

    All she says is be open-minded to people “not exactly like you”. She doesn’t say date non-Christians is you’re Christian. It could be something else, like a different denomination, or a Catholic who practices a different rite than you do. I think her essential info of “stick to your guns” about what you want is excellent. I get wimpy when I like someone, and it’s at a time I actually should be qualifying them and being choosy. It just seems like I’ll never meet the right guy!!

    It was correct at the start but a bit twisted at the end: do not be equally yolked with …

    Ma’am, your advice is fairly bad. Being “open minded” is a terrible decision for anyone to make. Someone should be careful about what they are getting themself into [if it’s positive or negative]. Being “open minded” is bad. Period.

    @GallopingCloud Thinking for you 😀

  11. GallopingCloud says:

    @matthewlane Praying for you! 🙂

  12. matthewlane says:

    @GallopingCloud I’m sorry but its not pride, its undertstanding. You wouldn’t except any other proposition based upon the same flimsy evidence you use for religion. If i told you that cars are powered by happy thoughts & chocolate because i believe & have faith, you wouldn’t believe that. Essentially its a blind spot in your ability to reason. Everyone has blind spots, but christians have the biggest blind spot… it covers almost everything they experience.

  13. matthewlane says:

    @GallopingCloud yep, i would agree. Reading it from a secular pov means you a reading what is actually written & determining on your own the qualities of the book. where as people already indoctrinated will skip over the bits that aren’t nice, lest it jepordise there world view. Thats called observational bias. Its essentially what you’ve done with the stuff about slavery. You don’t want to admit its in your perfect book so you’ll ignore it, or try to make it say something else.

  14. GallopingCloud says:

    @matthewlane You might as well give up. I’m done 🙂 As you look on in pride at this string of ‘scientificly factually correct’ comments you made, mr proffessor sir, I pray that you will open your heart and experience true love like you’ve never seen it, experience a whole world of knowledge unlocked and live for Him. I can’t make you and i wont try. I know what I believe, and i shall not be moved! Love you sir. Praying for you. God Bless.

  15. GallopingCloud says:

    @matthewlane reading the Bible from a secular standpoint, it means something totally different than when u let God teach it to you as you read it. We are all stupid idiots and we dont have the minds to comprehend God. He is Greater and Higher and Stronger, and His love will abide. Someday everybody will see. When i read your ‘interpretations’ i can tell that you probably have alot of knowledge, but of this world, of what u can understand. I wont accept that ‘my book got things wrong’. God Bless

  16. matthewlane says:

    @GallopingCloud Truth isn’t based on hardness of belief. I don’t believe it not because its to hard, but because there is no (demonstrable, non suppositional) evidence that shows that an intelligent force was at all involved.

  17. matthewlane says:

    @GallopingCloud I’m sorry but if you need to believe in god before you can understand the bible, whats the point of the bible? I can understand the bible perfectly well, as can anyone capable of reading it. Its clear that it agrees with slavery. To try and contort the dozen or so different verses to try and make it not say so is silly. You’re just going to have to accept that your book got things wrong. Like the verse about salt losing its saltyness. That one makes me laugh.

  18. GallopingCloud says:

    @matthewlane How much harder is it to believe that an intelligent being created and design the incredible universe than to believe that an ameoba exploded and it all fell into place with exact conditions for human life to exist?

  19. GallopingCloud says:

    @matthewlane You contradict yourself! You replied to my comment on a totally different subject to try to prove to me that the Bible is wrong. I sense that you’ve had a past experience with God but your too afraid to let go of the world’s scientific knowledge. Yes, you will probably come up with a response to this that you think will make you the “winner”. I pray that God will show you how to be a winner one day… You have to accept Him before you can try to understand what the bible means.

  20. matthewlane says:

    @GallopingCloud yep, thats the other technique used when a christian comes up against someone unmoved by anti-logic. Veiled threats & don’t kid yourself thats what that is. Its a surrogate bullying tactic. Its the equivilant of “do as i say, or i’ll get my big brother to beat you up.”

    I suppose i could do the same, but change the god claim from god to the magical butt monkey that flew out of my but last tuesday & retroactively created the universe. Your going to hell, if you don’t believe.

  21. matthewlane says:

    @GallopingCloud Why would i intimidate you? I would never try. See fact doesn’t need to use stand over techniques, because its factual. As for why i would challenge you on the word of the bible, i challenge you for the same reason i would challenge somebody who thought they had a purple dragon living in there garage & its going to eat us all if we don’t love him… because its a silly concept, easily proven wrong.

  22. GallopingCloud says:

    @matthewlane I feel terrible for you…when eternity comes, at least you cant say nobody told you.. My heart breaks for you. I’ll have you in my prayers. God Bless.

  23. matthewlane says:

    @GallopingCloud I love wathcing christians contort reality into weird shapes to justify a bronze age book of myths & then get all “how dare you blaspheme the good book,” when any intellectual position they thought they had gets knocked over. The anser to how dare i is this… Its a book of fiction, with no power, little historical veracity & is used as a justification by bigoted or gullible people who suffer from serious confirmation bias.

    Quoting it to justify itself is silly at best.

  24. GallopingCloud says:

    @matthewlane keep on if you want. iguess your heart (soul) is not open to? recieving Christ, because you wouldn’t be blaspheming His word. I dont know you but i love you and care about your place in eternity…Think about it this way. If your right, im not in danger. But if im right, your in eternal trouble.
    Since your wanting to debate the meaning of the Bible, tell me what this means?
    Revelation 20:15- And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire

  25. matthewlane says:

    @GallopingCloud You didn’t ask a question? Oh you mean why am i studying it? I’m not studying it, i read it, as i would any other work of fiction.

    However at this point you have no leg to stand on. The bible is very clear, as is history, that for 1000 years the bible said that you could own slaves & how you could treat them. It really isn’t my fault that the practice fell out of favour & is no a sore spot christians are constantly trying to weasel out of. The bible said slavery was A okay.
