Why would you even want Texas Christian or Boise State in the National Championship game?

Question by Did you know Kevin loves the Big East.: Why would you even want Texas Christian or Boise State in the National Championship game?
They both play the weakest of D-1 football, so why are they even in the top 25? I’d rather have a one, two or even 3 loss SEC, PAC-10, Big Ten or Big 12 team in the game. Those 2 don’t deserve to even be in FBS. And If Auburn loses I’d rather them give Oregon the title without having to play BSU or TCU.
New Mexico State, Louisiana Tech, Hawaii, Wyoming, Toledo..ect. That is a laughable schedule. BSU should play in D-2

its because they beast it up in their conference; and some people like to see change in the championship game, see some teams that aren’t from the big conferences like the big 12, the SEC, the pac 10, etc. and boise and tcu are actually pretty good

Obviously you don’t want the BEST team. You just want one with a big name. Shame on you!

  2. Beckham's Brother says:

Why would you even ask that question?

  3. King of ? says:

Sorry to burst your bubble but Boise State is better than a 2 or more loss team in any conference and Boise State can compete with any team in the nation.

I want Boise State in the title game. (if Auburn or Oregon lose) I don’t know if you have ever actually taken the time to watch Boise State play (and literally 75% of the critics have not even watched 1 BSU play this season) but they are a good football team. An underrated defense, an explosive offense with Kellen Moore, 2 outstanding Wide Recievers, and an outstanding Running Back. I would love to see a David vs Goliath.

And for whoever wants to rip on Boise St. for beating nobody, they beat Va Tech at Fed Ex Field in front of 80,000 people, 70,000 of which where Va Tech Fans. Give me a break.

EDIT: Buddy. What BIG TIME D1 SCHOOL IS GOING TO AGREE TO PLAY A NON CONFERENCE GAME AGAINST BOISE STATE OR TCU, NOTHING CAN BE GAINED. COME ON. I guarantee you that Boise State would play any team willing to play them. What good does a team like Alabama, Ohio St, LSU, etc get from playing boise st or tcu. Just please think before you spew ignorance on YA!

I’d rather watch Seinfeld reruns, and I hate Seinfeld.

It’s called the eye test. Obviously, you’re an ignorant fan with not much knowledge of the game. Their schedule is weak because of their conference, there’s nothing they can do about that. They can schedule out-of-conference games to be tough, but there’s a lot of teams that refuse to play them.

Boise State shows up every week, shows a lot of discipline, led by an experienced quarterback with a lot of talent. You honestly make yourself look like an idiot with the exaggeration. They beat OU last season in their bowl game, and they basically have the same team as last season.

  7. David B says:

This is a laughable question! BSU is an awesome offense and an underrated defense. They can beat any team put in front of them and their bowl records prove this. I would BSU over Oregon right now because I believe Boise St. has a better defense and their offense is u p to par with Oregon. IF BSU goes undefeated they deserve a shot to play in the BCS Championship, because they beat Va. Tech who look like they are going to win the ACC, they beat Oregon St. who is an underrated team and they will have beaten a very good Nevada and a decent Fresno St..

If TCU go it will be deserved, they have the best defense in the country and can hold any offense down. Not to mention they have a very, very good offense. TCU, plays a tough schedule Oregon St., a tough Baylor team who is playing well this year, BYU, Air Force, and SLAUGHTERED Utah!!!

TCU in my opinion is right behind BSU, Boise St. being #1 in my book. I HOPE, HOPE, that Auburn, LSU, and Oregon lose because I would LOVE a TCU v BSU BCS CHAMPIONSHIP game. Then all you haters would call for a playoff!

Want to know what else sounds like a laughable schedule?

    New Mexico (1-8)
    Tennessee (4-6)
    Portland St (2-7)
    Arizona St (4-5)
    Washington St (1-9)
    UCLA (4-5)
    Washington (3-6)

Do you know who’s partial (because you didn’t supply a full schedule in your arguement) schedule this is? It’s Oregon’s…the #1 team in the country! If a team with a schedule as bad that can be No. 1 in the country then I have no problem with Boise and TCU being ranked in the top 5

Year in, year out Boise State kicks the crap out of their conference and everybody else.If some of the “big boy” teams would man up and play them then we could find out just how good they are. At least Boise State has not played any non FBS schools. Talk about playing weak schools,

I like how you left out Virginia Tech , Oregon State, and Nevada out of that “laugable schedule”

You obviously don’t watch BSU’s games and just go by the schedule. Boise State could play with anyone, anywhere. And the reason we would want TCU or BSU in a national championship is to give them a chance. They obviously could play with the big dogs, as BSU has proven muliple times.

And listen to this…Boise State averages 47 points a game and allows 12 a game.

  11. K-Dawg says:

I’d love Boise St vs Oregon. Boise State beat a good Va Tech team who’s been 7-0 since their two September losses.

PS: The Sun Belt conference is much worse than the MWC or WAC.
