    @Bossiiiii Dick!

  5. lemonphantom says:

    @Bossiiiii Uhu…gets you nowhere? He’s the 8th best player in the world, probably the best in Korea. I don’t think that’s “nowhere”. You’re probably an offensive player…what rank are you?? that’s right….

    @darafpr I would pose that same question in regard to Joo Se Hyuk as well. I believe that Joo already said he’ll plan retirement from the game after the 2012 Olympics, so he’s already turning for the exit, even though he’s still playing very well. I think Joo from 2003 would have beaten Ma Long (the way Kong Linghui had to play to beat him at the 2003 China Open was beyond Ma Long’s level).

  7. ak110408 says:

    @lesliefrancs China did produce Chen Xinhua and Ding Song, two defenders that were important in holding off Sweden at the World Championships, so they can definitely develop excellent defenders; however, since China doesn’t have any country to defend against now, they have went completely on the offensive.

    @Bossiiiii

    defensive got him into the final of a world champs on 2003 top 10 on the list for a long time easy huh?… ur style got u where? ur neiborhood champ?? loser

  9. BollForte94 says:

    @SilverAssassin00 lol
    he won against timo boll only two times :D:D:D:D
    his first win against timo boll was at the Volkswagen Cup, the secon win Korea Open
    so you are wrong
    he lost most of his matches against timo boll

  10. lesliefrancs says:

    @jkim519 …sample bias. I think JSH is the best that Korea has to offer. If China pours down the resources to develop a defensive style like they do an offensive style, I think the product they come up with will have abilities that are in the same caliber as Ma Long.

  11. SilverAssassin00 says:

    @ttCountenance
    I apologize. I’ve been playing and subsequently following table tennis for about a year and a half now. I think Joo has split matches with Boll in that time frame and has not beaten Ma Long. I appreciate you correcting me though and putting me in my place.

  12. ttCountenance says:

    @SilverAssassin00
    Actually Joo beat Ma long at least once in 2007 World Championships. Timo Boll beat Joo more than 10 times while Joo won twice and it was in this year. So you are completely wrong this time.

  13. TTplaya says:

    @SilverAssassin00

    That is not correct. At WTTC 2005 Joo has beaten Ma Long. Correct me if i am wrong…

  14. jayjaymatt says:

    @Bossiiiii except the top 10 in the world

  15. minalobudeshte says:

    no matter some of the comments here and who wins who loses, but Joo is a player to admire at..

  16. janlebbe says:

    @Bossiiiii defence got joo to the 8th place in the world. i would sign for that 😉

  17. eps0n says:

    lmao im 100%sure that some decent defensive player can beat you Bossiiii

  18. SilverAssassin00 says:

    To my knowledge, I don’t think Joo Se Hyuk has ever beaten Ma Long. I would also venture to guess that he probably never will. However, Joo has won most of his matches against Timo Boll. The defensive style must certainly be effective if it allows you to beat the #2 player in the world and earn you the #8 spot in the world…

  19. TheKobayakawasena21 says:

    @jkim519
    no..its a style..it doesnt matter how u play

  20. TheKobayakawasena21 says:

    even defensive can win..

  21. jonnexus says:

    no twirling from Joo? gg

  22. darafpr says:

    @curmosc wow i got to watch that match. thanks for the info.

  23. curmosc says:

    @chimstership The comment I was looking for. I totally agree with you. Why is everyone bashing on the defensive style? Maybe because Joo plays it best and he got beat badly here? Everyone got their ass’ handed to them. To single out a style of play like that is just rediculous to me.

  24. curmosc says:

    @darafpr Actually, toward the very end of his career, I saw matsushita beat Ma Long. It was in 2006 I think.

  25. darafpr says:

    i wonder how would have matsuhita made it against ma long, in matsuhita s best times, that would have been a great match.
